What is Mindset? A new twist on search that uses machine learning technology to give you a choice: View Yahoo! Search results sorted according to whether they are more commercial or more informational (i.e., from academic, non-commercial, or research-oriented sources).
Link
Some tests already performed with its relevancy
My quick question:
If you do a query like site:www.sitename.com, on a blog that has the same type of content why you get different results
But a promising demo after all. I want to see it integrated in the official search
Good job Yahoo
Edit:
Here you have an interesting test. I laughed a lot while looking at Microsoft results

When Google bought Hello perhaps they had some big plans with it, some of them being to use the IM platform. Unfortunately after the aquisition nothing big happened and very few users know of this software.
Now, with the new Yahoo messenger this is software is made obsolete, YIM incorporating it’s features through the photo sharing service.
Too bad that Google bought the software without promoting and developing it

Lately I saw that Technorati doesn’t respond on all tags while indexing and they seem to count only WP categories names.
Here is a good post and a detailed response from Technorati

For quite a long time I have noticed on Yahoo Blog a link to Google’s Official Blog. I thought it was quite a nice thing to do and a rare thing in this business where links have the value they have.
Now is Google’s time to make their step.
Congratulations. Better later than never
Edit
That’s fun they even listed Jeremy’s blog
I like the guy for his unconventional style to write bout Google’s mistakes
