Google just realeased in the labs the Linux version of the Picasa. Users outside US will get only a 404 error. This is not a server error but a limitation that tries to prevent users outside US downloading it.
If you want you can do it by using Google Translation as a proxy.

A fresh update to Reblog 2.0 has been released. Be first on your block to install it from http://reblog.org/#download.
This release includes a raft of enhancements, including better documentation for plug-in developers, slightly modified tag behavior that makes it easier to navigate your extensiv feed collection, experimental plug-ins for automatically publishing entries to WordPress, TypePad, Blogger and Del.icio.us accounts, and minor usability improvements too numerous to mention.
This BETA version has been extensively tested, and is recommended for most users. (1 comments)

Commercial Web development has been around for more than 10 years. As an industry, this one’s still fairly young when you consider others that have been around for centuries. But relative youth as an industry is no excuse for not doing better.

Firefox extension of the day: “Get the feel of Dreamweaver in a Firefox extension. Edit your documents right next to your web pages as you surf.”

Firefox extension that allows you to see 1 column sites in multiple columns. Great reading improvement

It seems that web 3.0 is gonna be composed of services not in BETA but in GAMMA :). After Yahoo rolling out a new interface now is Flickr’s turn.
The update contains:
Navigation
Look for new navigation menus in the top navigation bar: You, Organize, Contacts, Groups, Explore.
Search
When you search from the main navigation bar, you’ll be looking through the titles, tags & descriptions of all the photos on Flickr. You’ll see that you can zero in on your photos or photos from one of your contacts too, and sort the results in a few different ways on the search results page.
Screengrab of the new person menu Person Menu
You can access the new Person Menu by moving your mouse over someone’s Buddy Icon.
Organizr
Double Click and Drag & Drop are your friends when you’re using Organizr. We’ve also added a new section to the FAQ called “The Organizr” where you’ll see that each area of the Organizr has been highlighted and explained, so that’s a good place to start to orient yours

All in one a new slick interface.
