Add pictures from Flickr to My Yahoo!
Steps
- 1. Go to www.flickr.com and go to an user’s Photostream
- 2. Scroll the page down and find a link that says “RSS 2.0”; copy that link’s location
- 3. Go to http://my.yahoo.com, login in and then find a link that says “Add Content”
- 4. Use the “Add RSS by URL” option and paste the URL from Flickr
- 5. Now you should have on you’re “My Yahoo!” page a new module with a Flickr slideshow
Features
- 1. Slideshow
- 2. View all – shows the latest pictures from the photostream
- 3. Unlimited number of modules – you can add as many feeds as you want
Tips
A) as far as I seen you cannot add groups feeds
B) create a new page in “My Yahoo!”, name it Flickr and add your contact’s photostreams
P.S. While formmating this post, I was thinking that all the steps are somewhat redundant because there is an add to My Yahoo! button on every photostream. But what is weird it doesn’t seem to work…so follow the steps ![]()

Eventhough this is a nice trick, I am not a regular “My Yahoo!” user. I wish that the same feature will be integrated into Netvibes wich is my default homepage now

Hey Mike, it seems like when I post this what I saw were some minor steps in the development process. Now you can use the “Add to My Yahoo” Button on every Flickr page with the same result

Neat!
I was wondering when would they come up with something like this, since it was only a natural step…
So far, it seems the slideshow/gallery view can only be set on a second page (say, a “Flickr” page created with the “Add Page” thingy, as suggested by Răzvan); if you post the flickr feeds on the “My Front Page”, you will only be able to view as text, with no images.
Maybe they’ll fix it someday, but right now it doesn’t work otherwise…
Indeed, the “Add to MyYahoo” links works properly now, no need to copy and paste the RSS URI anymore.
Oh and by the way, you can also get “Everyone’s Photos”; although not present on the respective page, you can find its URI ( http://flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne ) in the “Feeds” section (under “Flickr Services”, right at the bottom or the “Complete Sitemap”).

I sincerely hope we won’t see all the seemingly natural steps taken — in this relation between Yahoo and flickr — since that would make the latter a bunch of greedy morons as the former is, but I do look forward to see some more of this Web2.0 stuff popping up here and there…
This thing with the flickr slideshow is rather cool, no doubt about it.
Speaking of which, you can get something “similar” in flock (look for “Flickr Photos” under “Topbar” inside the “View” menu).
