From zero to hero
It’s sweet to see how sometimes a hoax can raise you from zero to hero.
I think I should find a good one soon…let’s see nothing new on the Google Wallet, maybe the blogosphere needs another rumor.

I don’t think you’re being very fair with targeting me as the ‘google hoax site’!
For starters - i just posted a screen grab i took, secondly the fact of gcalendar supposedly to get launched or released or announced or whatever - originated some place else. Not my blog….
so do you think you’re being really fair by stating i plugged up a google hoax? I sure don’t… but then you might not agree with me… that’s ok - each to their own I guess.
cheers,
angelo.

Hello,
maybe it was unintentional, and I am inclined to think so. BUT the issue is that you have not reasoned before realeasing that screenshot. If you had tested the URL without the calendar part, you have seen that it has nothing to do with a calendar but it was a random file from Google.
Not doing that has triggered a validation of a rumor and a wave of “posts” on this topic. Rumors float around every time but they are not backed up by “evidences” and trusting them depends on how gullible a person is. A rumor doubled by a “proof” is much stronger and can lead to unexpected events.
Any way you should be happy for the few hundred links you have gathered. You will reap the fruits at the next Google PR update
To sum it all up. I don’t think it was an evil intentional thing, but you have to test if something it is what it seems to be or not. Posts like yours make blogosphere look like crap in the eyes of traditional media

A last thing. I really apreciate you for putting up that disclaimer on your post
