On MFA

Written on 9/17/2006 – 8:38 pm | by Razvan Antonescu |

A few months ago, most SEO and webmaster’s forums were full of people claiming that MFA (Made for Adsense) and other simple affiliates junk websites will be banned from the Adwords program.

For a short period of time, that seemed to be true and I saw a slight increase of the Adsense revenue and no more junk websites. Unfortunately, for the past month they seem to be all over the place again.

So…Google Guys those claims of increasing the quality of the Adsense program were just a PR stunt?

If this is not fixed, on the long run it will affect both publishers and Google. Publishers will remove the Adsense from their websites because their users are mislead and by that Google will loose advertising medium leading to less happy advertisers that will move to other networks.

I wonder what will prevail…greed or quality?

Razvan, you do know that the quality score is now MUCH MORE hurtful for MFA’s than it was before right ?

And anyway, you can remove URL’s yourself. Sure that’s time consuming, but it’s relatively ok.

I know those of course :) But still there are too many…and the exclusion list is limited to 200 websites only :)

    Salut,

Imi place blogul tau.

    Greseli facute:
URL din 3 cuvinte-as fi mers pe maxim 2
Limbaj nenatural in pagina (title/linkuri/meta description)

Cum as putea creste traficul pe Yahoo si MSN?

I know that there are many free article directories. They are especially designed to use AdSense. I can see that they have PR=4, PR=5 or higher and regularly indexed by Googgle, so they do not banned. I think that Goggle developed http://www.blogspot.com for people likely to use AdSense. Do you think that MFA are really banned? Isn’t possible to be banned for another reason?

MFA are a plague for SERPS. They don’t provide value neither to users and neither for advertisers. Ppl clicking on ads on such sites usually exit them quickly without a real gain to those that paid for advertisments
